Furious 7 has officially grossed $1 billion in just 17 days. The live-action thriller is Universal’s highest-grossing initial release ever and on track to be their biggest movie of all time. Currently Jurassic Park holds Universal’s #1 spot earning $1.044 billion, including it’s 3D re-release in 2013.
Furios 7 is estimated to have brought in $1.009 billion with $735.2 million being made overseas. The film is also the fastest to reach the billion mark leaving The Avengers, Avator, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in the dust. The Fast & Furious franchise has made $3.392 billion worldwide thus far according to The Hollywood Reporter.
